Partnerships and Impact Director | she/her/hers
Charlotte Walshe is our Partnerships & Impact Director and has spent her career in the Third Sector, spanning research, fundraising and delivering large-scale projects. Equally happy exploring the great outdoors or roaming round a museum, as long as she’s got a good book in her bag. Charlotte is also a trustee of CXK, supporting young people and adults to find employment.
Charlotte is also a trustee of CXK, supporting young people and adults to find employment, and an ambassador for the Digital Poverty Alliance.

Neil Chawla
Operations Director
Neil is our Operations Director and has spent most of his grown up life immersed in technology platforms, e-commerce and logistics. Generally to be found walking in the hills, exploring small breweries or fixing old cars, he also volunteers with several small charities.

Helen Simmons
Finance Director
Helen has been in the Charity sector for 27 years. From homelessness, disability, social care – as a staff team member, but also as a trustee, fundraiser and volunteer. Helen is passionate about animals and conservation. She’s been a supporter of ZSL (London Zoo and Whipsnade) for many years.

Commercial Director
An experienced commercial leader. James has worked across a number of international markets specialising in delivering sustainable growth strategies in corporate and third sector environments. With a passion for retail and partnership development, James has recently joined In Kind Direct as Interim Commercial Director. James has a love for the great outdoors and enjoys travel, international food and spending time with his family and friends.

Tim Hinton
Head of Corporate & Commercial Banking, Santander UK
Tim joined In Kind Direct as a Trustee in June 2017 and was appointed Chair in November 2025. He is also Chair of Santander Consumer (UK) plc and was CEO of Santander’s Corporate & Commercial Banking business in the UK from 2018-24. Prior to this, he held several senior roles at Lloyds Banking Group (2013-17) and Standard Chartered (1986-2013), mainly in Asia. Tim is married with two children and lives in Dublin with his family.

Ajay Kavan
Senior Advisor KKR and Piper Equity, Deputy Chair of the Board of Trustees
Ajay is Vice chairman of IKD and has been a trustee for 13 years. He works closely with ambitious founders and is a CEO advisor and Board member at multiple high growth consumer digital businesses in the UK, US, Europe and MENA. His Board roles include the Rohlik Group (an Index Ventures backed unicorn), Breadfast (a Cairo based business backed by Y Combinator and EBRD) and Dunelm (a UK listed business). He is a Senior Advisor to KKR and on the advisory board of Piper Equity. Previously, Ajay held several executive roles including over nine years as Vice President at Amazon holding global roles running multiple businesses across Europe in both established and new categories (including launching Amazon Fresh in Europe and Asia).

Alec Grant
Director and CTO C-Tech
Alec is a technologist with 25+ years experience of building complex technology solutions. Alec is a firm believer of both giving back and paying it forward and throughout his career has mentored young people from the ages of 14 upwards. Alec’s particular interest has been in helping those from underrepresented communities get the help and support that they might not have access to otherwise, in order for them to have equality of opportunity.

Ayshea Farooq
Development Director, The Oak Foundation
Ayshea is the Development Director of The Oak Foundation, a charity based in East London that supports disabled children and their families and is part of the IKD network. She has 25 years of experience working in the UK charity sector in fundraising and development roles, and extensive experience of charity governance, including legal and financial obligations, and strategic planning for organisational development and expansion.

Clare Mills
Co-CEO at Charity Finance Group
Clare is Co-CEO at Charity Finance Group, the UK charity and membership body which works to shape a more supportive operating environment for the benefit of the charitable sector. She leads on issues including access to banking services, working to nurture positive strategic relationships with a wide range of external stakeholders. She has spent her career in a range of policy, political and communications roles including several charity roles and over a decade working for an MP on policy, stakeholder relationships and communications. Clare is a Chartered PR Practitioner and Member of the CIPR, and associate member of the CIPD. She is fascinated by digital, organisational and people development, ethics, leadership and culture, and has a long track record of volunteering as a school governor, charity trustee and chair. When she’s not working, Clare can usually be found outside, often on her beloved bike.

Chirag Patel
CEO, Pentland Brands
Chirag Patel is the Chief Executive Officer at Pentland Brands. He started his career in the pharmaceutical and fitness industries before arriving at Pentland Brands and working in leadership roles across the Mitre and Lacoste brands.
In 2016 he joined the Pentland Brands Executive team as Director of Global Strategy and then Chief Operating Officer. During this time, he led marketing and product across all brands, its US business operations and the team responsible for the acquisition of Endura and the Speedo North America license.
Chirag has introduced to Pentland Brands an approach that encourages everyone to think like a start-up; by developing disruptive and innovative ideas. This starts by asking people to bring their ‘authentic self’ to work and encouraging diversity of views to create a culture where everyone feels they can contribute.
Debra Allcock Tyler
Chief Executive, Directory of Social Change
Debra has worked in the charitable and voluntary sector for over 40 years. Amongst numerous other roles, she is Co-Chair of the Soldiering on Awards alongside General Richard Nugee. She is a Trustee of In Kind Direct, and a Governor of the Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. She has served as a trustee of several charities including being the co-founder of the Small Charities Coalition and was its first Chair. She served on the Charity Commission’s SORP committee for over 7 years and was the Vice-Chair of Governors of Whiteknights primary school for 6 years.
She is a renowned public speaker with many years’ experience of training and mentoring and is an internationally published author of several books on management and leadership including It’s Tough at the Top; The Pleasure and the Pain; It’s Murder in Management and It’s a Battle on the Board. Debra has a regular monthly column in the Third Sector publication and has appeared on Radio 4’s The Moral Maze.
Graham Burridge
COO/CFO, Everymile at WPP
Graham was named Managing Director, Disney Store Europe, in March 2013 responsible for driving Disney Store’s European multi-channel business. Disney Store Europe currently operates Stores throughout the UK & Ireland, Spain, Italy, France, Portugal, Denmark and Belgium in addition to online Stores in UK and six other markets.
Graham joined the Walt Disney Company in 2002 as Finance Controller for Toys. He joined Disney Store Europe in 2006 as Vice President of Finance, IT and Online. Before joining Disney, Graham held senior Finance roles at Scoot.com and Apple. Graham has been a long-time supporter of Disney’s partnership with In Kind Direct, which dates back to 1997.

Liz Clarkson
People Director at IGD
Liz is a People Leader and transformational coach with over 20 years of experience driving business growth and performance through strategic people functions in industry-leading organizations across various sectors.
As a Board Member and People Director at IGD, Liz is helping shape the future of the organisation with a focus on people, culture, and performance. Prior to joining IGD, Liz was Strategic People Leader at Arup UKIMEA (UK, India, Middle East and Africa)

Martin Newman
Founder, The Customer First Group
With over 40 years experience working at the forefront of retail and e-commerce, Martin has led transformative initiatives for some of the world’s most iconic brands, including Burberry, Harrods and Pentland Brands.
Martin’s thought leadership including best-selling books, The Power of Customer Experience, 100 Practical Ways to Improve Customer Experience, and his new book, ROI Reimagined, provide actionable insights for businesses to thrive.
He is Non-Executive Chairman of the Scout Shop, Chair of the Customer Xperience Alliance, is a board advisor to Neve Jewels Group, Insider and Clearpay, and is a Trustee of In Kind Direct. He is also an Ambassador of the Fashion Retail Academy, the Retail Trust and the charity Pennies.

Richard Wolff
Founder of Javelin Group and NED
Richard Wolff co-founded Javelin Group in 1997 and was its Chief Operating Officer and ran its Strategy Consulting practice until 2018 when he became Javelin Group’s CEO. He was also joint leader of Accenture’s UK & Ireland Retail Strategy business and Head of Europe Retail Strategy. He left Accenture at the end of 2020 and is now a NED and Board Advisor at a number of digital retail and technology businesses. He has advised many retailers, brands, consumer goods companies and B2Bs on how to transform their digital, omni-channel and ecommerce business. He previously worked at GUS, the leading UK catalogue retailer and is non-executive director at a start-up AIPatient.

Scott Barton
Managing Director, Corporate and Institutional Coverage, Lloyds Banking Group
Prior to joining Lloyds, Scott was Head of Corporate & Institutional Banking, Europe for Standard Chartered Bank (SCB), who he joined in 2013. At SCB, Scott was responsible for wholesale banking across six countries, and was Chairman of SCB Turkey and a member of the global CIB management team. Prior to SCB, Scott spent 20 years at the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), where he was a member of the Group Management Committee, and Co-CEO International Banking. Prior to RBS, Scott worked for Accenture who he joined straight from university. Scott holds a First in Management Sciences from Loughborough University, an MBA from CASS Business School and a DipM from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Scott lives with his wife and two sons, is an avid cyclist and enjoys all sports.

Tom Moody
Vice President & Managing Director, P&G Northern Europe
Tom Moody is Vice President & Managing Director at P&G Northern Europe. Tom spent the first 4 years of his working life for P&G in the UK in a variety of sales and commercial roles. The second phase of his career was spent in Geneva, where he had spells in both Sales and Marketing, including as European Brand Manager for Always.
He returned to the UK in 2004, where he ran P&G’s Beauty business and was responsible for integrating the Oral B business in the UK following the Gillette acquisition. He moved back into sales in 2008, as Commercial Director for P&G’s Tesco account before taking on overall responsibility for the company’s total UK Sales Operations as Sales Director, UK & Ireland in 2012.
In 2013, Tom was promoted to General Manager, Sales, P&G Northern Europe before, in 2015, being appointed Vice President & Managing Director for P&G in Northern Europe. He is now responsible for P&G’s total business operations in the UK, Ireland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland.

Vishal Bansal
VP & CFO Amazon Transportation
Vishal Bansal has over 25 years of experience working with retailers in US, Europe and Asia in defining business and financial strategy and leading execution for sustainable improvements. He is Vice President, Finance leading Worldwide Amazon Transportation Services finance. Prior to this, he was leading inbound operations across Europe for Amazon, and before that he was the UK supply chain director. Vishal joined Amazon from Tesco, where he led a number of operational leadership roles over nine years transforming Tesco’s store operations across 3,000 stores, heading supply chain development worldwide, and in various store operations leadership roles. He is passionate about delivering quantifiable results by focusing on innovation and developing high-performing diverse teams. He is an electronics engineer, an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and a qualified Chartered Management Accountant from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

Debra has worked in the charitable and voluntary sector for over 40 years. Amongst numerous other roles, she is Co-Chair of the Soldiering on Awards alongside General Richard Nugee. She is a Trustee of In Kind Direct, and a Governor of the Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. She has served as a trustee of several charities including being the co-founder of the Small Charities Coalition and was its first Chair. She served on the Charity Commission’s SORP committee for over 7 years and was the Vice-Chair of Governors of Whiteknights primary school for 6 years.
She is a renowned public speaker with many years’ experience of training and mentoring and is an internationally published author of several books on management and leadership including It’s Tough at the Top; The Pleasure and the Pain; It’s Murder in Management and It’s a Battle on the Board. Debra has a regular monthly column in the Third Sector publication and has appeared on Radio 4’s The Moral Maze.
Graham Burridge

Graham was named Managing Director, Disney Store Europe, in March 2013 responsible for driving Disney Store’s European multi-channel business. Disney Store Europe currently operates Stores throughout the UK & Ireland, Spain, Italy, France, Portugal, Denmark and Belgium in addition to online Stores in UK and six other markets.
Graham joined the Walt Disney Company in 2002 as Finance Controller for Toys. He joined Disney Store Europe in 2006 as Vice President of Finance, IT and Online. Before joining Disney, Graham held senior Finance roles at Scoot.com and Apple. Graham has been a long-time supporter of Disney’s partnership with In Kind Direct, which dates back to 1997.

Richard Wolff
Founder of Javelin Group and NED
Richard Wolff co-founded Javelin Group in 1997 and was its Chief Operating Officer and ran its Strategy Consulting practice until 2018 when he became Javelin Group’s CEO. He was also joint leader of Accenture’s UK & Ireland Retail Strategy business and Head of Europe Retail Strategy. He left Accenture at the end of 2020 and is now a NED and Board Advisor at a number of digital retail and technology businesses. He has advised many retailers, brands, consumer goods companies and B2Bs on how to transform their digital, omni-channel and ecommerce business. He previously worked at GUS, the leading UK catalogue retailer and is non-executive director at a start-up AIPatient.

Scott Barton
Managing Director, Corporate and Institutional Coverage, Lloyds Banking Group
Prior to joining Lloyds, Scott was Head of Corporate & Institutional Banking, Europe for Standard Chartered Bank (SCB), who he joined in 2013. At SCB, Scott was responsible for wholesale banking across six countries, and was Chairman of SCB Turkey and a member of the global CIB management team. Prior to SCB, Scott spent 20 years at the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), where he was a member of the Group Management Committee, and Co-CEO International Banking. Prior to RBS, Scott worked for Accenture who he joined straight from university. Scott holds a First in Management Sciences from Loughborough University, an MBA from CASS Business School and a DipM from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Scott lives with his wife and two sons, is an avid cyclist and enjoys all sports.

Tom Moody
Vice President & Managing Director, P&G Northern Europe
Tom Moody is Vice President & Managing Director at P&G Northern Europe. Tom spent the first 4 years of his working life for P&G in the UK in a variety of sales and commercial roles. The second phase of his career was spent in Geneva, where he had spells in both Sales and Marketing, including as European Brand Manager for Always.
He returned to the UK in 2004, where he ran P&G’s Beauty business and was responsible for integrating the Oral B business in the UK following the Gillette acquisition. He moved back into sales in 2008, as Commercial Director for P&G’s Tesco account before taking on overall responsibility for the company’s total UK Sales Operations as Sales Director, UK & Ireland in 2012.
In 2013, Tom was promoted to General Manager, Sales, P&G Northern Europe before, in 2015, being appointed Vice President & Managing Director for P&G in Northern Europe. He is now responsible for P&G’s total business operations in the UK, Ireland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland.

Vishal Bansal
VP & CFO Amazon Transportation
Vishal Bansal has over 25 years of experience working with retailers in US, Europe and Asia in defining business and financial strategy and leading execution for sustainable improvements. He is Vice President, Finance leading Worldwide Amazon Transportation Services finance. Prior to this, he was leading inbound operations across Europe for Amazon, and before that he was the UK supply chain director. Vishal joined Amazon from Tesco, where he led a number of operational leadership roles over nine years transforming Tesco’s store operations across 3,000 stores, heading supply chain development worldwide, and in various store operations leadership roles. He is passionate about delivering quantifiable results by focusing on innovation and developing high-performing diverse teams. He is an electronics engineer, an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and a qualified Chartered Management Accountant from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
