We believe everyone deserves access to life’s essentials. Throughout 2024, In Kind Direct stepped up to deliver even more support to our charitable network and their local communities. We also commissioned new research to deepen our understanding of hygiene poverty, informing brand new initiatives that increased awareness of hygiene poverty, reduced stigma and secured more product to those who need it.

Our latest research, A Clean Start in Life, found that 1.1 million GB children are living in hygiene poverty and 845,000 children are missing school because they can’t keep clean. Bringing together polling and findings from engagement sessions, this report explores the experience of hygiene poverty and how to tackle it through the eyes of children and young people.
